Summary:
As General Manager you will have full responsibility for the performance and profitability of the plant facility. This includes managing and focusing on measures associated with safety, quality, cost, and productivity and focusing on strategic expansion by increasing local and regional sales. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
o Improve the plant?s profitability and ensure all safety and quality requirements are met. o Drive facility?s focus on Safety, Quality, Cost and Productivity along with No Fail Basics methodology throughout the organization o Develop and implement business plans that align with company goals and overall strategic visionfor Division. o Build a high performing team and work collaboratively to drive change initiatives within the organization. o Drive and implement continuous improvement initiatives tied to the strategic business direction. o Build partnerships with your Divisional Sales Managers to identify facility growth opportunities and maintain relationships with key accounts. o Oversee sales and production to meet short-term and long-term divisional objectives to achieve optimum efficiency. o Build effective alliances with other Business Units, Human Resources, Sales, Logistics, Production, Safety and Quality Managers to better serve customers that cross multiple business units. o Foster employee development through training and other resources o Promote diversified recruiting, hiring, training, and managing of facility staff. o Ensure all safety and environmental compliance issues are addressed on a timely basis. o Recommend and justify capital expenses that suit both short- and long-term goals of the facility. o Cultivate our involvement and dedication to Performance Excellence programs o Performs other duties as assigned. Responsibilities:
Direct supervision of facility Managers and Team Leaders, and indirectly for all facility employees What you need to succeed o Bachelor?s degree o Minimum of six years of operations experience, including at least three years of experience managing industrial or manufacturing facility. o Excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative management style. o Budget development and oversight experience. o Critical Thinking ? Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems. o Strong organizational skills. o Strong written and verbal communication skills, ability to engage multiple functions (technical, engineering, general management) within a business. o Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently. o Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); and other applications as required.
